Parliament sends 133 interim govt ordinances to special committee for review

The National Parliament has forwarded a total of 133 ordinances enacted during the interim government period to a special committee for verification and review, with the committee instructed to submit its report by April 2.

During Sunday’s session of the 13th National Parliament, Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman proposed that the ordinances be sent to the committee. The session was presided over by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikrom.

“We have presented 133 ordinances in Parliament. A special committee was formed during the first session. I request that these ordinances be sent to the committee for review, and that the committee submit its report by April 2,” Minister Asaduzzaman said.

The proposal was put to a voice vote by the Speaker and was passed unanimously. Following the approval, the ordinances were formally forwarded to the special committee.

Earlier, on March 12, during the first session of the 13th National Parliament, Minister Asaduzzaman had formally presented the 133 ordinances enacted by the interim government.
