Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad, Md Nurul Islam, extended floral congratulations to the newly appointed Speaker of the Bangladesh National Parliament, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram, following the oath-taking ceremony at the Jatiya Sangsad. He later conveyed similar floral greetings to the newly appointed Deputy Speaker, Barrister Kayser Kamal.
On Thursday, the newly elected Speaker of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram, MP (Bhola-2), and the Deputy Speaker, Barrister Kayser Kamal, MP (Netrokona-1), took the oath of office before the Honourable President, Mohammed Shahabuddin.
It may be noted that the President administered the oath to the new Speaker and Deputy Speaker in accordance with the Third Schedule of Article 148 of the Constitution. Through this oath, the newly elected Speaker and Deputy Speaker formally assumed their duties.
