Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, has sent a congratulatory message to Hafiz Uddin Ahmed on his inauguration as speaker of the 13th National Parliament of Bangladesh.
In the message sent on March 12, Zhao congratulated Hafiz Uddin Ahmed on assuming the office of speaker and noted the long-standing friendship between China and Bangladesh.
He reaffirmed that China is ready to work with Bangladesh to strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation between the National People’s Congress of China and the National Parliament of Bangladesh.
Zhao also expressed hope that the two sides would continue to deepen parliamentary ties and jointly promote the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between China and Bangladesh to a higher level.
