President Abdul Hamid will deliver a memorial speech in Parliament on November 24, marking the golden jubilee of the country’s independence.
“A special discussion will be held in Parliament on November 24 and 25 on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence. President Abdul Hamid has given his kind consent to deliver a memorial speech at 3:00pm on November 24 at the invitation of Parliament,” Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury told Parliament on Thursday.
She also said different programs are being held nationally to celebrate the golden jubilee of the great independence throughout the year.

As part of the celebration, the two-day special discussion will be held in Parliament, Dr Shirin added.
The speaker adjourned the 15th session of Parliament till November 24.
