The injured are undergoing treatment at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
The deceased policemen are Constable Shahjahan Kabir, 26, of Domar upzila in Niphamari, Constable Alamgir Hossain, 25, of Gobindaganj upzila in Gaibandha, Constable Pronob Roy, 33, Kaliganj upzila in Lalmonirhat, Constable Shamsul Alam, 51, of Ullapara upzila and Constable Sohel Rana, 32, of Fulchhari upzila in Gaibandha.
The two other deceased are Shyamal Kumar Das, 32, a sweeper at Bogra police lines, and Abdur Rahman, 33, a truck driver.
Sherpur police Officer-in-Charge Khan Mohammad Erfan said: “A fertiliser-laden truck collided with a police pickup van in Mohipur Bazar area around 1pm, killing four people instantly and injuring the others.
“Three of the injured died on the way to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
“The police personnel were going to Dhaka to collect equipment,” he added.
Traffic was stuck for an hour on both sides of the road after the accident.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to their families after their funeral was held at Bogra police lines in the afternoon.

Dhaka Tribune Our Kurigram correspondent Ariful Islam visited the house of Shyamal Chandra Das and found his family wailing in grief and misery in the wake of his death.
11-years-old Prity, daughter of the deceased, cried while clinging to her grandfather Paresh Chandra Das.
The 18-months old Mugdha did not realise that he would grow up without his father.
Mukta Rani, wife of Shyamal, wailed: “All my happiness has gone out with the death of my husband. I do not know how will I survive every single day.”

Dhaka Tribune Kurigram Superintendent of police Tobarak Ullah said: “Shyamal was like family to us. We may not be able to compensate the loss which his family suffered. But we will ensure their livelihood.”
