The local MP, Sayedul accused the media, saying: “They (media) have turned the issue into an international issue.”
According to the minister, anti-liberation forces are inciting communal violence because they want to hinder the developmental progress made by the prime minister.
He said the answers lie with the drivers of the 14 trucks that brought in young people wearing shorts and carrying local arms from Madhabpur, to find out who were behind the attacks.
The local lawmaker claimed the incident was created to distance him from the goodwill of the local people by BNP as they never managed to get a seat in the area.

In addition, he also blamed some Awami League leaders from Dhaka inciting the communal violence in the area because they want to be part of local politics.
Addressing the programme, Home Minister, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal assured locals that justice will be served: “We have taken necessary steps and have identified the perpetrators. It may take some time, but we will take legal actions against them.”
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque spoke at the programme urging people to call the police directly when incidents take place.
He assured that the identity of the informer will be kept secret.

He also asked people to file cases by themselves if anyone hurts their religious sentiment, instead of forming a mob.
“If you are afraid to file a case, then inform the police so that police can file a case. Let us carry out our responsibilities with due process,” he said.
The IGP also urged everyone to be careful about believing every rumour they hear and asked people not to gather into groups and organise mob justice rallies.
He said:“They (organisers) pressured the local administration for the permission to hold the rally. If things happen during such programmes, then it is the organiser's responsibility,” speaking about the Nasirnagar attacks.
The IGP assured that he would personally supervise the case so that the charge sheet can be filed as soon as possible.
“The perpetrators would be brought to justice after a speedy completion of its trial,” he promised the locals.
Charu Chandra Brammachari, advisor of Nasirnagar Eskon committee asked the authorities to find the perpetrators and bring them to trial as soon as possible to avoid such attacks in the future.
“The Muslim community and Muslim clergymen will have to step forward,” he said.

Brahmanbaria Superintendent of Police (SP) Mizanur Rahman reiterated that no perpetrators of the attack will be spared and there is concrete evidence against them.
“We have arrested some 74 people by identifying them from footage and photos of the incident,” he also assured: “No innocent people will be harassed.”
SP Mizanur warned: “We are here to give a message to the perpetrators that they will be exposed and punished in the most exemplary way.”
The SP also said, Brahmanbaria has not experienced an attack of this scale in living memory.
State Minister for Sports, Biren Shikder said the communal violence is an another form of terrorism.
The programme was chaired by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal following his visit to Brahmanbaria accompanied by State Minister for Sports Biren Shikder, IGP AKM Shahidul Hoque, local MP Sayedul Haque to the vandalised Gouro temple, where they met with the Hindu community leaders.
On October 30, a mob vandalised some 17 temples and ransacked 58 Hindu homes in Nasirnagar over an alleged defamatory Facebook post by a Hindu youth, Rasraj.
More than 100 people were injured during the communal violence which locals alleged were instigated by the influential members of their community.
The ruling Awami League suspended three of its Nasirnagar unit leaders for their alleged involvement.
