Barisal-Patuakhali Bus and Minibus Owners' Association has called off their indefinite strike in Barisal division following a fruitful meeting with the local administration.
The association called off the strike on 38 routes of six districts on Thursday night, reports UNB.
Association General Secretary Kawser Hossain Shipon said they decided to withdraw the strike around 10pm as the local administration and police assured them of taking action against the human hauler workers who assaulted their leader.

The association enforced the strike for an indefinite period on Thursday after its president Nazrul Islam Khan was assaulted by some human hauler workers on Barisal-Patuakhali road in Dapdapia area on Monday.
Thousands of passengers suffered much following the bus strike that lasted for about 16 hours.
