DMCH surgeon: Muktamoni is out of danger

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit Coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen said Muktamoni is now out of danger after her surgery. He said: “Her wounds have been dressed today. She is speaking normally. In regard to her surgery, there is nothing to be concerned about.” Muktamoni is an 11-year-old girl who has been suffering from a mysterious disease that resulted in a malignant growth on her right arm. A team of specialist doctors of the DMCH burn and plastic surgery unit and the anaesthesia department conducted her operation on Saturday.

Muktamoni’s father Md Ibrahim said the doctors are taking good care of his daughter. He asked everyone to pray for her. Last month, DMCH doctors identified the mysterious illness afflicting Muktamoni as lymphatic malformation.
