Four killed, 8 injured in Bogra road crash

At least four people were killed and eight others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Ghoga Battola area under Sherpur upazila of the district early Monday.
Two deceased have been identified so far- Moslem Uddin, 35, son of Abdur Rashid Sarkar from Moyenpur village under Rangpur’s Mithapukur upazila, and Mohammad Ali, 38, son of
Hossain Ali from Chalidanga village under Comilla’s Shibnagar upazila.
Sohel Rana, station officer of Sherpur Fire Serivce and Civil Defence, said the accident took place around 5:40am when the Rangpur-bound Shyamolli Paribahan bus collided head-on with a truck from opposite direction leaving three dead on the spot and nine others injured.
The injured were whisked away to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital and Sherpur Upazila Health Complex.
One injured succumbed to his injuries at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, confirms Arif, assistant town sub-inspector of Bogra’s Silimpur police outpost.
