Dr Md Kamruzzaman has assumed charge as the new secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division.
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam welcomed him at the ministry on Sunday, said a press release.
Kamruzzaman, is an officer of the 17th batch of the administration cadre of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), was assigned as PTD secretary through a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on October 18, 2026.
Earlier, he served as rector (secretary) of the National Academy for Development Administration (NADA). He joined NADA as rector on February 1, 2026. He was promoted to the post of secretary to the government on January 29 the same year.
