336 students pass after SSC result re-scrutiny in Comilla

A total of 1,944 students under the Comilla Education Board have had their SSC results changed following a re-scrutiny of their answer scripts for the 2026 examinations.

Of them, 1,608 students saw changes in their grades, while a total of 207 students achieved GPA-5. Another 336 students who initially failed were declared passed.

The re-scrutiny results were published on Thursday through a notice signed by Papia Akter, deputy controller of examinations at the Comilla Education Board.

Board Chairman Prof Md Ahsan Parvez said experienced teachers were involved in the re-scrutiny process. “We assigned experienced teachers to conduct the re-scrutiny. The answer scripts for which applications were submitted were thoroughly examined in accordance with the relevant rules before the revised results were published,” he said. “We are pleased with the changes in the students’ results,” he added.

According to the board data, 145,839 students appeared in the 2026 SSC examinations under the Comilla Board. A total of 35,929 students applied online for re-scrutiny of 91,494 answer scripts in different subjects.

However, 211 students could not secure a passing grade despite changes in their marks. Students whose results have changed following the re-scrutiny will be able to apply online for college admission on September 12 and 13, Prof Ahsan Parvez said.
