Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) has officially inaugurated its new media cell titled ‘Prantik Kanthoswar’, aimed at highlighting the struggles and achievements of marginalized communities while showcasing the organization’s contributions at the national level.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Ansar-VDP headquarters. The initiative was formally launched by the Honorable Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Zahir Uddin Swapan, who attended the event as chief guest, said a press release.
In his address, the minister said Prantik Kanthoswar would serve as an important bridge for implementing the government’s development agenda and effectively communicating the activities of Ansar-VDP to the public.
State Minister for Railways and Road Transport and Highways Habibur Rashid, MP, attended the program as special guest.
The program was chaired by Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, who emphasized that Ansar-VDP’s large workforce can be better utilized in structured socio-economic development activities. He also said the platform would help bring forward grassroots stories, including local successes often absent from mainstream media.
