BMDA's 86th Board Meeting held in Rajshahi

The 86th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) was held in Rajshahi on Sunday. 

The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the BMDA, Hasan Jafir Tuhin.

Also present at the meeting were: Mr. Md. Firoz Ahmed, Joint Secretary, Cabinet Division; Arman Hayder, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock; Jasim Uddin, Joint Secretary (Inputs), Ministry of Agriculture; Kazi Shahidul Islam, Deputy Commissioner, Rajshahi; and Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Commissioner, Dinajpur.

Other board members Naimul Hasan, Superintendent of Police, Rajshahi; Jedan Al Musa; and Superintendent of Police, Dinajpur, were present.

Abu Sayeed Kamruzzaman, Executive Director and Member-Secretary, BMDA, joined the meeting along with all other board members of the BMDA.

The members of the Board of Directors present at the meeting expressed their full confidence in the systematic and efficient leadership. 

They expressed hope that under this dynamic leadership, BMDA will play a more effective role in improving the fortunes of ordinary farmers in North Bengal. 

Various development issues of the Barind Multipurpose Development Authority were discussed, and decisions were taken at the meeting.

According to the meeting sources, contributions of the BMDA have been multifaceted, leading to significant advancements in agricultural productivity, water resource management, and overall socio-economic development.
