BARI organizes 3-day workshop on integrated pest management and biopesticide use

The Entomology Division of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) organized a 3-day workshop on "Integrated Pest Management and Biopesticide Use" on Tuesday  in the seminar room of the Entomology Division.

The session was chaired by Dr Nirmal Kumar Dutta, chief scientific officer of the Entomology Division. The Director General of BARI, Dr  Muhammad Ataur Rahman, attended the program as the chief guest, said a press release.

Special guests included Dr Reshma Sultana, director (Training and Communication), BARI, Dr Md Ashraful Alam, APD (Partner, APCU-BARC); and Dr Md Saleh Ahmed, Bangladesh country representative of CABI.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr Kohinoor Begum, chief scientific officer of the Entomology Division. The program was moderated by Dr Md Kafil Uddin, senior scientific officer of the same division.

The workshop was attended by international delegates from various organizations, representatives of pesticide management companies, and senior scientists from different centers, divisions, and sections of BARI. The event is being implemented with funding support from the partner project APCU-BARC in collaboration with CABI.
