Two more children have died with measles symptoms at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), raising the total number of such deaths at the facility to 42.
According to hospital authorities, 138 children with measles-like symptoms are currently undergoing treatment.
Hospital spokesperson Dr Shankar Kumar Biswas confirmed the deaths, saying the fatalities occurred within 24 hours—from 8am Sunday to 8am Monday.
During the same period, 20 children with measles symptoms were admitted to the hospital, while five others were discharged after recovery.
In total, 411 children have been admitted to the hospital with measles symptoms so far, of whom 42 have died while receiving treatment.
