A fire that broke out at Ayesha Clothing, a Palmal Group readymade garment factory in Ashulia’s Jamgara area on Monday, has been brought under control.
Nine firefighting units brought the fire under control at 2:05pm, said Alauddin, deputy director of Fire Service Zone 4,
Smoke was first spotted around 12:15 pm, followed by rapid flames. Four units from Zirabo Fire Station initially responded, later joined by five more, who battled the blaze for nearly two hours.
“No casualties have been reported," the fire official added.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be immediately determined.
