Bogra leads Rajshahi Board in SSC results with highest GPA-5 count, pass rate

Bogra has secured the top position in both the number of GPA-5 achievers and overall pass rate in this year’s SSC (Secondary School Certificate) and equivalent examinations under the Rajshahi Education Board.

A total of 5,900 students from Bogra educational institutions obtained GPA-5, while the district also recorded the highest pass rate, according to results published on Thursday.

The overall pass rate in the Rajshahi Board stood at 77.63%, whereas Bogra achieved a district-level pass rate of 83.50%.

Notably, several renowned institutions in Bogra maintained their strong track record of academic excellence.

This year, a total of 180,310 students from eight districts under the Rajshahi Education Board appeared for the SSC examinations.

Of them, 139,983 students cleared the exams, resulting in a board-wide pass rate of 77.63%.

A total of 22,327 students achieved GPA-5, with the highest number coming from Bogra.

These figures were confirmed by Professor Md Ariful Islam, exam controller of the Rajshahi Education Board.

Among the top-performing institutions in Bogra, Bogra Zilla School led the way, with 217 out of 220 students securing GPA-5 and a 100% pass rate.

Bogra Government Girls' High School also achieved a 100% pass rate, with 237 out of 250 students earning GPA-5.

Biam Model School and College had 473 examinees, all of whom passed, and 399 obtained GPA-5. At Bogra Cantonment Public School and College, all 371 students passed, with 342 achieving GPA-5. The Armed Police Battalion Public School and College saw 347 students appear in the exam, all of whom passed, and 286 attained GPA-5.

RDA Laboratory School and College had 242 examinees, 149 of whom achieved GPA-5, with a pass rate of 99.59%.

At TMSS Public School, all 158 students passed, with 98 securing GPA-5.

Bogra Yakubia Girls' High School and College reported a 100% pass rate among its 244 students, with 169 earning GPA-5.

Mustafizur Rahman, principal of Biam Model School and College in Bogra, credited the consistent success of the institution to the collective efforts of students, teachers, staff, and guardians.

He expressed hope for even better results in the future.

Colonel Md Masud Rana, principal of Bogra Cantonment Public School and College, also acknowledged the vital role of the institution’s key stakeholders—including the chief patron, governing body chairman and members, teachers, and guardians—in achieving such outstanding results.

He also expressed optimism about maintaining this performance in the years to come.
