A mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Feni, Jessore and Chuadanga and it may continue.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) at its weather forecast release stated it on Monday morning.
Through of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area and seasonal low lies over the South Bay while a low pressure area is likely to form over South Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours, Met office predicted this morning.
Rainfall with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi and Chittagong Divisions, said the Met office.
It said weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The Met office on Sunday recorded maximum temperature at 38.0°C at Baghabari under Rangpur Division while Monday's minimum temperature was 18.5°C at Sylhet under the Sylhet Division, the Met office added.
Monday's sunset at Dhaka would be at 06:17pm while Tuesday's sunrise would be at 05:45am.
