A field day has been organized in Gopalganj to promote the expansion of the new Binadhan-26 variety developed by the Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA).
This event took place on Thursday afternoon in Basabari village of Gopalganj Sadar upazila, hosted by the Gopalganj BINA Sub-Center.
The event's chief guest, Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad, director general of BINA, delivered a keynote speech.
The program was presided over by Dr Md Kamruzzaman, senior scientific officer at the Gopalganj BINA Sub-Center, and moderated by Scientific Officer Saurav Adhikari.
Speakers at the event highlighted that the protein-rich Binadhan-26 variety has shown a yield of 6.25 tons per hectare in the district.
Over 100 farmers, both male and female, from Basabari village attended the field day.
