Followers of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of the Bangladesh Sommilito Sanatani Jagaran Jote, staged protest rallies in several districts demanding his release.
On Tuesday afternoon and evening, protests and rallies were observed in various parts of the country.
In Jahangirnagar University, Sanatani students blocked the Dhaka-Aricha Highway, demanding Chinmoy Krishna Das’s release.
The highway was blocked near the university's Dairy Gate from 4:45pm to 5pm, causing temporary traffic disruption on both sides.
During the protest, the Sanatani students called for his unconditional release and presented an eight-point demand.
In Khulna, the Khulna divisional committee of the Bangladesh Sommilito Sanatani Jagaran Jote organized a mass rally, protest march, and sit-in program at Picture Palace Mor at 12:00 pm.
The march passed through various city streets and ended with a sit-in and rally in front of the Deputy Commissioner's Office.
During the rally, leader of the Khulna Divisional Committee of the Sanatani Jagaran Jote, Prashanta Kumar Kundu said: “Our peaceful movement for an eight-point demand is ongoing. Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested at the instigation of a conspiratorial group during this time.”
In Barisal, a protest rally was held demanding the immediate release of Chinmoy Krishna Das.
Protesters under the banner of the Bangladesh Sommilito Sanatani Jagaran Jote, Barisal unit, blocked Sadar Road in front of Ashwini Kumar Hall, causing significant traffic disruptions across the city's main roads.
In Rajshahi, protests were held at Alu Patti Mor by the Bangladesh Sommilito Sanatani Jagaran Jote.
Despite strict actions by law enforcement, followers gathered at Alu Patti Mor in the evening, chanting slogans against the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das.
In Feni, a procession of over 500 people started from Old Jail Road and later gathered at Doyal Square to block roads.
The protest caused traffic disruption on important roads in the area.
In Faridpur, ISKCON supporters and Sanatani community members held a sit-in in front of the press club in the afternoon.
After the sit-in, they took out a protest march.
In Jhalkathi, protesters blocked roads in the Fire Service area of the city in the evening.
The protest lasted for an hour and a half before ending.
In Chandpur, a human chain was formed at 4:30pm, demanding the release of Chinmoy.
