Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim has said that there would be no compromise on the trials for genocide, emphasizing unity on this issue.
He said this as chief guest at a rally organized by the Gobindaganj Development Forum in Safipur, Kaliakair, Gazipur, on Friday evening.
During his speech, Maulana Halim reiterated Jamaat’s commitment to establishing an egalitarian society, stating that the movement's main theme is justice.
"People no longer want fascism," he said, adding: "This is why Sheikh Hasina had to flee, but justice for the genocide will be served. There will be no concessions."
The event was chaired by Gobindaganj Development Forum President Azhar Ali Pradhan.
Among others who addressed the gathering were Gazipur District Jamaat Secretary Mohammad Shafi Uddin, former Gaibandha District Ameer and Gobindaganj Development Forum Chairman D.
