The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNRCP) conducted a raid in Barisal city as part of their investigation into the sudden price hike of ilish in the district.
Apurba Adhikari, deputy director of DNRCP in Barisal, confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
He, however, said that they found no inconsistency in prices during their raid in the market.
The official said that the traders were warned about action if prices were inflated artificially.
