Sunshine, decreasing water levels bring relief in Noakhali

The flood situation in Noakhali has been improving over the past 24 hours, with water levels receding by 3-4 inches.

Since Saturday morning, clear skies have brightened the district, and there is no forecast for additional rainfall.

This change is expected to further alleviate the flooding in Noakhali.

Previously, heavy rains and water from the Feni River had inundated 87 unions across eight upazilas in Noakhali, leaving at least 2 million people stranded and over a hundred thousand seeking refuge in 502 shelters.

A resident of Moushpur Union in Companyganj said that the sun is providing comfort as the water levels drop, easing the anxiety among residents.
