No case has been filed yet over an incident of attack and vandalism at BNP party office in Barisal on August 4.
Mustafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said BNP leaders submitted three separate complaints in this regard so far. They have also named 366 people in these complaints and included 700 others as unnamed persons.
They alleged former state minister for Water Resources Zahid Farooq was behind the attack.
Apart from Zahid Farooq, the list includes city Mayor Abul Khair Abdullah, former mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah, District Council Chairman AKM Jahangir, the OC added.
OC Mostafizur Rahman said the BNP leaders were asked to submit a consolidated complain as multiple cases could not be lodged in connection of a single incident.
After receiving the consolidated complaint, legal action will be taken in this regard, the OC said.
