Quota reform movement: 10 injured as clash erupts in Dinajpur

At least 10 people have been injured in a clash between quota reform protesters, members of the Jubo League and Chhatra League during a procession in Dinajpur. 

On Thursday, quota protesters brought out a huge protest procession in Dinajpur town. 

When the procession reached Charu Babur Mor, the Chhatra League and Jubo League attacked them. This led to a clash between the two sides. 

Police fired 10-12 rounds of tear gas shells, rubber bullets and sound grenades.  

Police also detained three of the protesters. 

Farid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said: “We are trying to calm the situation.”
