Narsingdi train accident: Five unidentified bodies buried

The five individuals, who were killed after being struck by a train in Narshingdi on Monday, have been buried as unidentified persons.

They were laid to rest at a graveyard near Narsingdi Railway Station on Tuesday morning.

Sub-Inspector Shahidullah, in charge of the Narsingdi railway police outpost, confirmed the matter.

According to Sub-Inspector Shahidullah, the five might have been killed when the Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita Express ran over them in the Kamolpur village of Raipura upazila.

According to locals, they are not residents of the place.

Ashraf Ali, station master of Methikanda Railway Station, said it could not be ascertained whether the five victims fell from the roof of a train or were sitting on the railway track. However, the victims are not locals.

Anwar Hossain, superintendent of Dhaka Railway Police, said the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) is working to identify the bodies. An investigation is underway to find out how the five people were killed at the same time.
