Two people were hacked to death, and another was injured by unidentified miscreants in the Nishindara Chakar Para area of Bogra in the small hours on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Sharif, 19, son of Dudu Mia of Nishindara Chakar Para area and Roman, 16, son of Shafiqul Islam of the same area.
Injured Hussain alias Bullet, 16, receives treatment at a local hospital.
Bogra Sadar police station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Saihan Oliullah said that the killings were carried out due to a longstanding enmity. An X-ray of the injured person's leg will confirm if he was shot.
Relatives and locals said on early Tuesday, a group of 20 to 25 armed miscreants entered an Eucalyptus garden in Nishindara. They chased Sharif, Rumon, and Bullet. Sharif was caught by his shirt on the barbed wire and could not escape. The miscreants fired around 8 to 10 rounds, hitting three individuals.
After open gunfire, Sharif and Rumon were killed by stabbing. Bullet, who was shot in the left leg, managed to escape and survived.
Later, they rescued Hussain, but Sharif and Roman died on the spot.
The bodies were kept in the morgue for autopsies.
