Four people, including a child, were killed in separate road accidents in Tangail's Kalihati and Mirzapur upazilas on Friday morning.
Three others were injured in the incidents.
The deceased were identified as Abdullah Al Akshar, 6, his grandmother Hosne Ara, 68, private car driver Abul Hossain, and Nuruzzaman Huda.
Elenga Highway police outpost In-Charge Mir Sajedur Rahman said a head-on collision took place between a car and a sacrificial animal-laden truck in the Bagutia area in Kalihati upazila.
Two people died on the spot, and another died while undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, motorcyclist Nuruzzaman Huda lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a traffic island. He died on the spot.
He was travelling to his hometown to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with his family.
