Police arrested seven people along with two sugar-laden trucks filled with 430 sacks of Indian sugar in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Saturday.
They were arrested from Shulakura area of Bangra union on Saturday.
Kalihati police station Sub-Inspector Mintu Ghosh said that two sugar-laden trucks were going to Elenga in Kalihati upazila from Haluaghat, Mymensingh.
Later, tipped-off, seven people were arrested and brought to the police station.
The trucks were also seized.
Legal action in this regard is under process, he added.
