A man was killed in a gas cylinder explosion at a CNG filling station on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the Debipur area of Feni.
A driver of a car was also injured in the incident, which took place at around 7am on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Saidul Islam, 30. He is an employee of the filling station.
The injured CNG-run autorickshaw driver Zahid Alam, 27, was given first aid at Feni General Hospital.
Feni Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Thoai Ong Pru Marma said the autorickshaw came to “Prime CNG Filling Station” in the area to get gas in the morning.
The autorickshaw’s cylinder exploded at around 7am. Locals rushed Saidur and Zahid to the emergency department of Feni General Hospital. The doctor there declared Saidul dead upon arrival.
