Following a new monthly record of the highest amount of stone extracted from the Madhyapara Stone Mine in Dinajpur, the Germania-Test Consortium (GTC) has now achieved a new milestone of more than 6,000 metric tons of stone extracted daily.
The new record was set on Thursday.
It is to be noted that the target of daily stone extraction in the Madhyapara Stone Mine is 5,500 metric tons.
The sole domestic mining company, Germany-Trust Consortium (GTC), has faced various types of obstacles from the mining authorities since the beginning of stone extraction.
The company is still operational even after the mining authorities refused to pay its dues.
Despite financial crises, stone mining has continued at a record pace in order to support the government's development and to ensure the country's socioeconomic growth.
As a result, the loss-making Madhyapara Stone Mine has seen profit for the fifth time in a row.
Mining experts think that with the support of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and related authorities, GTC can continue with extracting stone at a record pace and will play a major role in the development of the country.
