BNP Standing Committee Member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain will be taken to Singapore again for better treatment.
He is currently undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital and will be taken to Singapore as soon as the family gets an appointment for him, Mosharraf Hossain’s son Dr Khandaker Maruf Hossain told the media.
On June 27, 2023, he was taken to Singapore and was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Quoting doctors, his son said they are trying to get the BNP leader admitted to National University Hospital in Singapore. If they get an appointment, his father will be taken to the hospital within a week.
The BNP leader was admitted to Evercare Hospital on December 5 last year after he fell ill. On December 9, he was shifted from the cabin to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital after his condition deteriorated.
Earlier on June 17 last year, Khandaker Mosharraf was admitted to Evercare Hospital with chest pain. On June 24, he was taken home from the hospital.
Later, on June 27, he was taken to Singapore where he received radiotherapy. Doctors diagnosed him with heart diseases as well. The BNP leader stayed at the hospital for 69 days.
He has not been involved with party activities since then.
