The convening committee of Sreepur Press Club under Gazipur has been formed with the consent of all the upazila representatives working in various national dailies.
A general meeting was held to form the convening committee under the chairmanship of outgoing committee president Alamgir Hossain and organizing secretary Masud Rana of Sreepur Press Club on Saturday.
The 11-member committee was announced after abolishing the previous committee.
Nasir Uddin George, the local correspondent for Dainik Bhorer Kagaj, has been made the convener and Kazi Aktar Hossain, the correspondent for Dainik Bhorer Dak, has been made joint convener of the new committee.
The other members of the committee are Golam Mostafa Rana (Dainik Pratham Bulletin), Mahbubur Rahman Akand (Dainik Bangladesh Pratidin), Anishur Rahman Shamim (Dainik Bangladesh Bulletin), Tajul Islam Sani (Dainik Anandabazar), Masood Rana (Dainik Amar Sangbad), Salim Sheikh ( Dainik Amar Kantha), Emdadul Haque (Daily Bhor Darpan), Enamul Haque Akand (Daily Manab Zamin) and Sadek Mia (Daily Hour Bangladesh).
The newly formed convening committee will take measures to form the full executive committee of Sreepur Press Club within the next three months
