The manager's compartment of an oil-laden train derailed on the Akhaura-Sylhet railway line at Madhabpur in Habiganj.
The incident took place at Mantala railway station around 9:15am on Sunday, reports media.
However, no casualties were reported.
Rail connectivity on Sylhet-Dhaka route is normal. Efforts are being made to pull the line train by bringing in the relief train.
