Law Minister Anisul Huq said that the government has provided comprehensive support to facilitate the arrival of foreign doctors for the improved treatment of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.
He made these remarks while talking to journalists on Tuesday afternoon.
In response to queries about whether written permission was sought for Khaleda Zia's doctor, the law minister said: “The BNP medical team requested written permission, and we had no objections to bringing doctors from abroad. When they approached me, we granted our consent. We have facilitated all the necessary assistance for the doctors to come.”
When questioned whether the arrangement to bring doctors was a government initiative, the law minister clarified: "It was not initiated by the government; rather, it was organized by Khaleda Zia's family."
