The water level of eight rivers in the southern Barisal region of Bangladesh is flowing above the danger level due to the full moon and the pressure of water from upstream.
In addition, the water of several other important rivers is flowing at or close to the danger mark, Barisal Water Development Board (WDB) Deputy Assistant Engineer Md Tajul Islam confirmed at 12 noon on Monday.
He said that the water flow of 19 important rivers of the Barisal division is monitored during the monsoon season.
