Speakers said an investment of $170 billion will be required by 2041 in the power, energy and mineral resources sector as one of the regulators of development progress.
Most of the countries from which Bangladesh imports fuel for the power sector are the G-20 countries and they are coming together in India to decide the fate of low-income countries.
The speakers also said Bangladesh as well as many developed countries are passing through a critical situation. So the government should shun the path of investment in fossil fuel and prioritize renewable energy.
