Two chairs have been kept vacant for BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in Khulna youth rally. Pictures of Khaleda Zia and Tarek Rahman were placed on the two chairs.

Moshiur Rahman Jadu, information and technology affairs secretary of the central committee of the Swechasebak Dal, said: “All the young people who have not been able to cast their first vote in life, deprived of freedom of speech, deprived of their rights, deprived of jobs, victims of oppression, all the young people who are plagued by assault cases woke up today.”

“Young people flocked to the youth rally because they want to get rid of the tyranny of fascism. This fascist government has no power to stop the turbulent wave. The only wish of these youth is to overthrow these new tyrants and establish a people's government through elections under a non-partisan neutral government to save the country,” he added.

Meanwhile, the leaders of BNP and other organizations have alleged that the rally was being obstructed so that it does not succeed, reports UNB.

Khulna Metropolitan BNP Convenor Shafiqul Alam Mona alleged that the ruling party leaders and activists are obstructing the youth from joining the rally.

They (AL leaders) forced the bus owners to suspend services in Koira and Paikgacha upazilas from Sunday so that BNP leaders and activists cannot join the rally, he claimed.
