A driver of a truck was killed when his vehicle collided head-on with a bus on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway on Saturday.
The incident took place on the Bangabandhu Bridge in Tangail.
The deceased was identified as Arafat Sheikh, 32 of Rangpur.
Yasir Arafat, in-charge of Elenga Highway police outpost said the truck overturned after the collision with the Dhaka-bound bus. The driver died on the spot.
Several others were also injured during the incident. The bus' front was significantly damaged as well, he added.
