A man has succumbed to his burn injuries sustained in a home fire, a day after his 6-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter died.
Thirty-six-year-old Kawser Khan, a resident of Munshiganj, died on Saturday at Dhaka’s Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
He was being treated with 60% burns, said Resident Surgeon SM Ayub Hossain.
A gas cylinder leak is suspected to trigger the fire at Kawser’s home in Munshiganj’s Char Muktarpur on Thursday. He was hospitalized at burns institute the same day along his wife and two children.
The siblings died later the same day.
Kawser's wife, 27-year-old Shanta Begum is being treated with 55% burns.
