A Comilla court has granted the police five days to interrogate 17 people, arrested in a case filed over the attack on Rajarajeshwari Kali Temple in the town on October 13.
First Senior Judicial Cognizance Court Judge Chandan Kanti Nath passed the order on Wednesday after police produced them with a seven-day remand prayer.
Another accused was sent to the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal since he is a juvenile.

Court Inspector Salauddin Al Mahmud confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
An angry mob vandalized the temple as tension mounted after a video of the Holy Quran kept on the lap of an idol at the Nanuardighi Puja venue went viral.
Many shared the video calling for attacks on Hindu sites on allegations of sacrilege.
According to Achinta Das Titu, general secretary of Comilla Metropolitan Puja Committee, as a result of the violence, 17 puja mandaps were vandalized and a number of idols were desecrated in Comilla.
About 12 people were injured at the time, one of whom died on October 21 while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
