A Mymensingh court has sentenced a man to death after finding him guilty of killing his mother.
District and Sessions Judge Md. Helal Uddin handed down the verdict on Monday with the convict, Md. Mostafa, on the docks.
In December 2018, Bhaluka Upazila resident Mostafa hacked his 70-year-old mother to death while she was sleeping, according to the case documents, which said a feud over land property was the motive.
The convict’s brother, Md Shahjalal started a case the same day with the Bhaluka police station
In February 2019, police submitted the chargesheet in court against Mostafa.
