A woman has died on Wednesday in Dhaka after an autorickshaw rear-ended the rickshaw she was on.
The incident was reported near the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Hamid Begum, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Khan of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp.
Her relative, identified as Md Rana, 25, has been also injured in the accident.
They were rushed to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital (ShSMC) before being transferred to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Doctors pronounced Hamida dead around 1 am.

An employee of BRAC was killed when his motorcycle collided with a truck early on Thursday at the district’s Maheshpur Upazila, say police.
The victim has been identified as Debdas Mondol.
Quoting witnesses, Maheshpur police’s Assistant Sub-Inspector Habib said that the accident was reported around 6am from the upazila’s Charaktala.
Mondol crashed into truck coming from the opposite direction, according to the police officer.
Local rushed him to the Mohespur Upazila Health Complex. On-duty doctor Nazmul Hossain said that he was brought in dead.
