Gopalganj wears festive look for PM Hasina’s 2-day visit

Gopalganj has adorned a festive look as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit Kotalipara and Tungipara for two days.

After the Eid-ul-Azha celebrations, there is a joyful atmosphere everywhere in the district, centered around the arrival of the premier.

Strict security measures have also been taken all over the district. 

The motorcade carrying the prime minister will depart her official residence Ganabhaban for Kotalipara on Saturday morning.

On her arrival at Kotalipara, the prime minister will exchange pleasantries with the local Awami League and associate organizations' leaders and activists, local representatives and commoners on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Later, in the afternoon, the Premier will depart Kotalipara for Tungipara, and spend the night there.

She will also pay rich tribute and offer Fateha and join a special prayer at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to address a public rally in the Gopalganj Sadar upazila. 

She is scheduled to leave Tungipara for Dhaka later in the afternoon.

Previously, she visited her home constituency on February 25, where she gave a speech as the chief guest at a rally held at the Talimpur Telihati High School ground in the Sadullapur union of Kotalipara.
