Eight Khulna BNP men suspended for breaching party code

The opposition BNP on Saturday suspended the party posts of eight leaders and activists of party's Koyra Upazila unit in Khulna for violating code of conduct. 

In a joint statement, upazila BNP's Member Secretary Nurul Amin Babul and Joint Convener of a newly formed convening committee GM Mowla Baksh informed the media regarding the party decision. 

The leaders have been punished for making derogatory comments on senior party leaders. 

Those under the axe are upazila BNP's joint conveners Moniruzzaman Beltu, MA Hasan, Abu Sayeed, and members Sheikh Abdur Rashid, Kohinoor Alam, A Samad Sardar, GM Habibur Rahman and Sheikh Salauddin Liton.
