At least 3 people including the bride's father and groom's brother have been jailed for seven days in Barguna's Taltali upazila for marrying off underage girls.
A mobile court led by Taltali Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sifat Anwar Tumpa conducted the operation on Wednesday.
The mobile court also sentenced the local mediator (Ghatak) Sentu Mridha, 50 to one month imprisonment.
The village imam school teacher Abul Kashem, 28, was fined Tk 10,000 for officiating the marriage.
UNO Sifat Anwar Tumpa said: "The marriage was being arranged with Rabbi, 22, son of Nizam Nazir of Patuakhali's Kalapara upazila with the eighth grader teenage girl, daughter of Sarwar Khan of Taltali upazil's Tantipara area."
At that time, the mobile court raided there and sentenced those involved to various terms of imprisonment and fine.
She also said another operation was conducted after recieving information of a child marriage in Tentul Baria area of the Taltali upazila on Tuesday night.
Later, when the mobile court raided the house , invited guests ran away and the bride's father, Siddique Howladar, was fined Tk5,000.
