Four members of a family were killed and three others were injured as a bus crashed into a human hauler in Chirirbandar upazila of Dinajpur on Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Uttam, 35, his wife Pallabi, 32, son Arnab, 7, and Pallabi's nephew Apurba, 10 while the injured people are- Pallabi's mother Jyotika Rani, 50, sbrother Shangkar, 30, and Palash, 35.
The tragic road crash occurred on Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional road in Uchitpur area around 11am.
Bazlur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Chirirbandar police station, said that the passenger bus hit the human hauler (locally named as Paghlu) while the members of the same family were going to Dinajpur sadar upazila from Nawabganj upazila, leaving two dead on the spot and five others critically injured.
Among the injured, two others died on the way to hospital.
Three others critically injured have been admitted at Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital, added the OC.
