The body of a Kazakhstan national, who used to work in a Russian organization under Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) in Pabna's Ishwardi, was recovered from his room on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, identified as Kun Alexandra, 31, used to live in the 20th-floor building of Green City, which was a residential area of the nuclear power plant under construction for foreigners in Iswardi.
He was working in the engineering department of a Russian company named Test Rosem Limited in Rooppur nuclear power plant project.
Ishwardi police station Officer-in-Charge Aurbind Sakar said: “The employee fell asleep in his room on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, his colleagues called him from outside the room for a long time but got no response.”
Later, the colleagues informed the police, who found the body lying on the bed when the room's door was unlocked around 11am, the OC added..
The body was sent to the Pabna General Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said, adding that the reason behind the death will be known after getting the autopsy report.
