The police have arrested a director of Seema Oxygen Plant in Sitakunda, Chittagong over an explosion there on March 4 which resulted in seven fatalities and several injuries.
Parvez Uddin, one of the three directors of Seema Group, was nabbed by the Industrial Police on Tuesday.
He is accused No 2 in a case filed at Sitakunda police station in connection with the blast.
Chittagong Industrial Police Superintendent Md Solaiman Mamun Uddin said further details would be given on Wednesday morning.
