A 13-year-old madrasha student died after he sustained injuries during journey to Dinajpur in a bus for a study tour in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mashiur Rahman, son of Ekebar Ali of Bidhua Malli area and a student of Sukandighi Nur-e-Saquina Islamia Madrasha.
Golam Rasul, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station, said the bus carrying a group of students and teachers of the madrasha left for ‘Swapnopuri' in Dinajpur for study tour in the morning.
When the bus reached near the designated place, Mashiur's suffered head injuries as he was trying to see something through the window while the bus was passing an electric pole around 11:30am.
Later, he died on way to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.
“Legal step will be taken after getting complaint from the family members of the deceased,” said the OC.
